The Groggy Dog - Indianola

This is an update on my rating 5 months ago, which was: our bartender was (and probably still) drunk. we tried again: the same bartender asked my fiancée “Do you want to make the bee or drink it? because if you want to do it, I don’t want to watch it.” She’s still classic so we don’t go back with her.

Food looked good. However, showed up and was told to have a seat. Sat next to the bar and was promptly ignored until we left.

The attitude when we first arrived was not appreciated. She was the owner and was trying to be funny. The steak sandwich was good but the fish was swimming in grease. They never checked to see if we needed anything. They yelled over us to other customers. Just really not a good first impression. Won't be back and don't recommend!

Service was terrible last 2 times I was there; both times the server acted like it was a chore to wait on me even though they weren't busy. The food was good but I doubt I'll be back.

I wanted to love this place but wasn’t given the chance to, unfortunately. My husband and I stopped in today. Because we weren’t greeted, we approached the bar and told the server that we haven’t been to this establishment before and she said to sit wherever. No problem! We sat… and sat. We sat for 30 minutes and the server never came by to take an order from us. After failed attempts to flag her down, we left money on the table for our pop and walked out. I hope to try again in the future but may consider ordering to go.
