"Beautiful place. Delicious food. Wonderful service. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The place is pretty, neat and well maintained. The views are breathtaking. I could sit with a cup of coffee and stare across the mountains all day. I just felt so at peace. The food is a bit pricey, but definitely well worth it. I had the spinach cannelloni. I enjoyed it but couldn 't finish it because it was a bit rich for me. My cousin had the herb crusted chicken, which I tasted, and it was delicious. We also shared the fallen chocolate soufflé and the cheesecake. The soufflé was so decadent. Completely worth it. The cheesecake however, was not to my taste. Google maps sent us along the Currys Post Road, but I will definitely not use this route again. I wish Google Maps had provided us with alternatives. Most of the roads are dirt roads until you reach a stretch along the way that used to be a road, but not much is left of it. So there are patches of road and then patches that are sort of corroded or sunk in, not sure what happened but it 's very uneven. I have a little car, which makes these roads much more intimidating to me. A turtle would have definitely beaten me to the destination. If you don 't mind those types of roads/ 'off roads ', you 'll maybe be okay, but just be prepared. However, if you 'd rather avoid that and don 't mind a bit of a longer drive, you can go in through Howick. Once you get into Howick (not too far from the main city/Howick Falls area) there 's a road with a veterinary clinic and you just go straight up and you 'll end up at the destination. (I do need to check road names the next time I go). It is a really long journey but the food is worth it."

"We always stop in Harrismith despite having seen the big Windmill sign previously...this time we decided to stop and I'm so sad we didn't find it sooner. An amazing place to visit. Don't even know where to start...the food 5 Stars (huge variety and very fresh), the bathrooms 5 Stars (spotless and are cleaned as you walk out), kiddies play area 5 Stars, the gardens that cater for pets 10 Stars. Thank you to the owners for thinking of families travelling with pets. You made us feel very welcome and we love the Doggy Poo Parlour. Stopping at this rest stop was the best part of our trip home. Definitely recommend it and will only stop here in the future. Bravo and a well deserved 5 Stars!"

"Friendly staff and multiple options for both savoury and sweet waffles. The presentation was very good. Our waffle was okay but it felt like the bananas were frozen beforehand. The ice cream was also like a sorbet with icicles. Having had waffles in other places in the area over the years, this didn’t meet up to those unfortunately."

"We did Nottingham Road Parkrun then had breakfast here. Wow! Excellent cappucinos, yummy Parkrun special breakfast with coffee (R30 , toasted sarmies and a full breakfast! The service was good (jug of water brought without asking when they saw we were hot, tired runners!! . All round good experience with takeaway pies for supper Thank you!"

"Tried the pizza and pasta here, as well as the cheesecake. The pizza is the thin and crispy style, not really neopolitan style but still good. The pastas were also good, really good sauces. 2 of the 3 i tasted was slight over cooked but still ok. The spaghetti bolognese was on point though and thats 1 of my favourite dishes in an Italian restaurant."
