"It's a nice and warm place, staff are very friendly. But for the food, it's a little bit disappointed. The seafood chowder was too creamy, I remembered it was very nice but now I am not really like it. The fried noodle was too dark and salty, taste was not good, I don't think it should on the menu if you can't cook it well. The price is a little bit too high for me, almost $20 per person. Others are all fine."

"Bombay Palace is our favourite restaurant in Invercargill. The food is always delicious, there's a good selection including vegetarian options and the staff are friendly. But the best thing about it for us is that they are so nice to the kids there. They always give them a free chocolate naan, and they make sure the high chair is clean. Plus it's fun for the kids to watch the breads being made through the kitchen window. The only thing I don't like is the TV screens playing Bollywood movies it's a bit distracting."

"My partner and I went for a late breakfast/early lunch. I ordered eggs benedict and my partner had the seafood chowder and a side of wedges/sour cream/sweet chilli. My eggs bene was nice, as was my partner’s chowder but the wedges were really tasty best in Invercargill (I don’t know if it’s the oil they’re cooked in... . The service was ok but very slow, despite on one or two other customers being there when we arrived. I wouldn’t rush back but I would definitely return."
