Was absolutely delicious ramen the grilled chicken in particular was so good! The decor was lovely and the server was so sweet.
The best tonkotsu pork belly I've had in my life. It's definitely recommended if you are in the Iowa City area!
Been here multiple times. Never had a bad experience. Ramen is incredible and the pot stickers are AMAZING

"Pretty good. I had the vegetarian quesdilla and really enjoyed that. When I went again, I had a vegetarian sope and taco, they were just eh. Their salsa and guacamole is wonderful! if you come in and order to go, they have you order on the touch screen computer and have hand sanitizer next to it. It was relatively quick both times. Their hot sauces are great too. I believe there are 5. They are all pretty spicy but had good flavor as well."

"Had a great experience here tonight and a delicious meal. I ordered the pad khi mao. the noodles and sauce were great, and it tasted very good. it had a nice taste, with just a little sweet. my fiancée ordered the fried crabmeat with curry. the court was amazing and so rich. they use real crab meat, and it comes with a side of rice to serve it. my sohn ordered the seafood hotplate, and I would highly recommend it. the red curry sauce was my favorite sauce that I tried and it was absolutely loaded with seafood. it also comes with a side of rice to serve it. the waitress was very helpful and informative, which made the experience so much better. I'm very glad we wanted to eat here, and I'll be right back."

"Mai 2022 update: after her latest food security injuries (that is public recording), I would say my experience below makes perfect sense. avoid badly prepared fish and food poisoning by not eating here. a lot of luck if you want to play! original nov. 2021:Picked up sushi from here twice and it was quite decent. we picked up again a week ago or two years ago, and the quality of the fish was terrible. it was chewing and seemed either low quality, not well stored or not fresh. did not feel good after it and thought I could get actual food poisoning, but fortunately, the traditional food poisoning did not have grossness. we will not go back to Soseki."

"Today was the first time I ate here, my sister knew the place and we feel lucky it was open in spite of road work signs and blocks on Dubuque. The GF bread, toasted for the sandwiches, was delicious; best GF bread I've had to date; everything was so fresh, the pesto, spinach, tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese; everything was clean and scrumptious! The potato chips make big brand organic kettle chips seem overly processed! Our sandwiches were so tasty my sister and I got a third and split it! I haven't been impressed with a sandwich in a long time! Fantastic food, friendly, welcoming service. And, I am glad it's tucked away a bit away from central downtown."
