Such a great place located across the Edwards movie theater at The Spectrum of Irvine. It was pretty busy at the entertainment center but fortunately 530 on a Friday we got in no problem with a table for 6. It was great. Ordered a few many things before happy hour ended (3-6pm) M-F. (Some items not pictured) I recommend the sweet bottle of Sake. We had all the rolls, beer, Noodles, sweet potato fries and some teriyak... View all feedback.
What Alex K doesn't like about Kabuki Japanese:
When I first came here, I was excited because Kabuki was my favorite sushi restaurant in my hometown of Arcadia, but I was left disappointed. The quality of the sushi was poor and the way it was made was messy. Rolls looked like they were thrown together, and the fish did not seem very fresh. It just didn't match up to the one back home. The ambiance was very different, and it felt dead inside. I'm used to Kabuki hav... View all feedback.

The prices are fair even without happy hour and we were all so pleased and satisfied. Such a tasty meal with great service from Claire (she was amazing). Will definitely come again! If you are needing a sushi fix in the area, THIS is your spot!
We ate at Kabuki before our Frankie Quinones (Cholo Fit) show at the Improv Saturday night. The Spectrum was busy and we wanted something fairly easy for dinner. Being hesitant with chain Japanese (sushi) restaurants, I had a great time! The restaurant was packed but we were able to find seating at the sushi bar. It was a treat to eat at the sushi bar on 10/5/2019. Our sushi chefs Harry, Joon and the team were awesome. Super fun, super quick and got things done while being super busy! The group was awesome. Thanks to our waiter as well for the kitchen food (Garlic Steak dinner was good). Sushi was fresh!
Excellent food and excellent customer service. I have dinned-in and taken food to go, it's been on-time each time. I think that some people, especially in today's fast food and Amazon click culture, forget that fresh food takes a little more time to prepare. The staff is always friendly. I have become a regular, they are always willing to modify a dish based on your needs.
Came here for a business lunch on a Monday afternoon. It was not very busy but like I said, Monday at 2pm LOL Even still the staff was high energy and the chefs both had sake bombs with us : So it was a good time! We ordered all rolls and they were great! Lots of flavor and plenty of fish! Cilantro Albacore Roll, a salmon roll with tempura shrimp inside, something wonderful the chef improvised and a couple of other rolls too. It just kept coming so fast I was eating in a blur : The restaurant is nice and clean. The restroom could be a little cleaner but it's definitely acceptable. It's in the Irvine Spectrum so parking is not really an issue. All the staff were friendly and attentive, but I need to give a special shout out to the chefs at the bar. They were a lot of fun and made some great custom rolls for us.
Alrighty so the food is good but the people who work here are better!! Harry and Martin are so much fun to be around. Came in for HH left after a full fledge dinner. Fantastic cucumber salad, the Inari was DELISH thanks to Harry being creative with my veggie options.
