Have been dining occasionally at Southern Recipe for over 15 years. Used to be located on Rochelle. And now this location for many years. Great for calling in an order and picking up for lunch or dinner. Also has grubhub now for delivery. Mexican or American food, or breakfast all day available for when you want breakfast for dinner. And they recognize the regular customers even when you've been absent quite awhile.... read more.

Smelled like sewer. The hostess was very pleasant, and only reason I didn't put down 1* for service. The older woman bringing out the food was rude and short with us. My chicken fried steak was disgusting. Shriveled up slimy processed meat patty I'd expect from a $2 microwave dinner. Obviously poor quality prepackaged frozen cafeteria grade, but charge customers 14 bucks for it. I didn't even eat it. read more.
