Food in Hawaii is extremely expensive. I was surprised at how reasonably priced everything was considering they are in such a remote location with a ton of tourist traffic. Poke was fresh and delicious. The iced coffee, fresh fruit, and smoothies were also good. This is beautiful location with a great view. The day we came out there was live music. read more.

"Gill’s lanai is a small hole-in-the-wall rack that offers a bright and sweet lunch place! I loved the brightly painted terrace seats, covered in a beautiful garden at the back. the server/owner was very friendly and accommodated us, although we were a few minutes after the closing time. melissa is a fantastic cook, and her tofu runway mi is one of the freshest, tasty sandwiches I've ever had. her home sauce was bursting with taste! we also have the vegan hot dog and some smoothies, they all tasted fantastic! I have heard from them that they make a vegan special on Tuesday! a definitive stop on the way back or on the Pololu lookout!"

"The food was decent but was overpriced and the portion sizes were much smaller than expected. For a small burger, two tacos, fries, and pineapple shake, the total came to about $50! They also ask you to pay extra for a service charge on top of the subtotal to support them. The place is only open Monday-Thursday 10:30am-1:30pm. If they tried opening for more days and longer hours their prices could be lower. They have no competition in the area for the types of foods they selland they clearly know it."
