What Mervyn E likes about The Codmother:
The Cod and chips my wife and I had were cooked to order. It does mean a little wait,buy its much better than shops who use a hot plate to keep food hot for long periods. The fish and batter were done to perfection and went really well with nice chips. This is our third visit here whilst on holiday and they have not yet let us down read more.

What Siani M doesn't like about The Codmother:
Food was lovely. Although a bit pricey. Not sure why there isn’t food ready in the food shelf? It was so busy and had to wait 50 minutes for fish chips and peas. Usually when the shops are busy staff know to cook some fish ready to avoid long waiting times. Had to stand outside in the rain for 50 minutes which I really didn’t appreciate. read more.

What a great find on route home fromthe beach. lovely clean plump chips,and crispy nicely coated fish , its a much to go to ,excellent great use of alternative...

"Best coffee we had in this area. And the cakes are just delicious! Simple pavilion with a big surprise inside. Friendliest staff I've met for a long time, HUGE selection of homemade cakes from all the classic ones like carrot cake, coffee walnut cake, Rocky Road cake or Victoria sponge cake to Eaton mess cake and Death by chocolate cake. My husband had a slice of Death by chocolate cake and wow. Full of chocolate flavour but not too sweet, just perfect. I had a slice of carrot cake and it is on my top list of carrot cakes. Loved the spices used. They had a very good selection of brownies too."

"What a fantastic experience! we had the 10-course menu. every cure was exquisite and delicious. we have recently eaten in a Michelin star restaurant and have to say that I had not expected that sheeps and leeks are so good. I am am amazed that it has not already been awarded a Michelin star. the restaurant itself is very underestimated, but good. the eating and the staff were fantastic. can not wait to return to the next visit caernarfon!"
