This was a superb meal. Excellent food and very pleasant service if slightly rushed initially. We arrived at 7.30 and ordered pre-dinner drinks to have in the garden, unfortunately, these had to be served at our table as we had booked at 7.45 as that was pur booking time. Seemed a shame as the restaurant wasn't full. That being said, the food was excellent. Highly recommended. read more.

When the weather is good you can also be served outside, and there is free WiFi. The rooms on site are accessible, and therefore no problem for clientele with wheelchairs or physical limitations.

I paid a few pence short of £50 for a three-course meal at this grand old lady of a hotel, which BTW I've been visiting for 30 years. I'm still in shock! My starter comprised a piece of duck no bigger than my little finger, and this was followed by a piece of lamb which, while tasty, was no bigger than a box of matches.
