"It had been a few years since we were in Zocalo, but it was as good as we remembered it to be. There were still some favorites on the menu, but also some new dishes, and they didn't disappoint. This is the only menu among many in Charlottesville that is really different and exciting. I had the duck breast cooked perfectly and accompanied by a great sauce, braised chard and an onion manchego bread pudding, and my wife loved her salmon. My starter, the tuna tartar, was too heavenly and had a healthy kick. Highly recommended!"

"After we sat down, it took a long time for someone to serve the table. we were then told the escaped ones we wanted were not available. they ran the day before after our server. the waitress really didn't know what the food was on the menu. what we ordered was bland and the coffee I ordered never came. the wrench cake was terrible in texture and unbearable sweet. I would not recommend this place definitiw to anyone."

"CUSTOMER FOR LIFE! My first time having this delicious food, was ordering in from UberEATS. If it is THAT good after taking a 30 min ride, I can't wait to dine in. I'd never eaten Columbian food before, so I asked if they could combine different empanadas so I could try them all. Look at the notes they left me, the labeling on all the food, the above and beyond customer service for even a takeout order!!! These are the local businesses I LOVE to support. And will...time and time again.Ajiaco soup was just loaded with chicken, 3 types of potato, corn, rice, herbs. That tamal had to have a full pound of various meats, and was moist and flavorful. And those empanadas...splurge for the bigger ones. You won't regret it. That green sauce is DELICIOUS!Go. Try the whole menu. You won't regret it."

"Great brewery located in Itasca in a kind of unassuming area. It may not look like much from the outside, but it's a lot better inside. Church Street Brewery isn't actually located there but rather in some warehouse on Industrial that you wouldn't know would have a brewery. Pretty good selection of beers to choose from. There's also food like pizzas and pretzels. Came on the weekend and it had a crowd but wasn't too busy. It helps that the inside is pretty large. This place can hold a ton of people. Has a lot of beers on the menu. It's about $8 a pint, which may be kind of high but not unusual for a smaller batch brewery like this. Best one we had was the Cerbierus. This is a lactose free hazy IPA. Also there's food. It's about $9 for shareables such as the Giant Soft Pretzel. Also there's pizzas and pork sliders as this place does a lot of barbecue. They also have entertainment such as live music. Even though it's in a crappy industrial park it still has a pretty cool atmosphere once you get in. It's been around awhile so they have come up with lots of beer styles to check out. There's also a kitchen and sometimes there's food trucks."
