The sushi is excellent! Highly recommend the choose any three rolls. The ingredients are of very could quality!

The Peanut Avocado Roll is my favorite and hard to find most places. Everything Ive ever ordered from here has been very fresh and tasty.

"I have lived in Ithaca for two years and this restaurant was the first time I felt I was a minority. My husband, daughter, and myself sat at our table for 20 min and no one took our order or bring us water. However, a white couple at the next table arrived later than us but ordered 15 minutes earlier than us. The waiters walked passed us multiple times yet they all ignored us. They wouldn’t take our order but took orders from people who arrived later than us. Many people who arrived later than us enjoyed their dinners earlier than we did, and we were the only ones waiting helplessly. We waved at the waiter, and they just told us “please wait,” but it seemed like we were the only ones who needed to wait. If you are not a majority, I strongly advise you not coming during peak hours."

"Taverna Banfi has one of, if not the best weekend brunch buffets in town. The food is well prepared, pleasing to both eye and palate, and plentiful. We’ve been fortunate to have the same waiter last two times, and he is both attentive and entertaining. And the valet staff will park your car for you. Wonderful experience!"

"Once a cozy , friendly place I often went to for decades.This time I asked for a table for myself and two visitors. The guy at the counter rudely said the menu is on the wall, order and pick up here . Can we sit downstairs? The menu is on the wall, order and pick up here . Turns out there is no longer waitstaff, you find or share a table, everything is plastic (utensils, cups, dinner boxes), the salad is soggy and dressing terrible, the food not close to its previous incarnation and they don 't even inform you when your order in the plastic bag is ready. I was embarrassed I took friends there and will never return. The only good thing at this fast food location was that they didn 't ask if everything was O.K. I miss the Pines!
