"Bei unserem Aufenthalt im Benediktenhof, brauchten wir nur 500 Meter zu Fuß.Aufgrund der Bewertungen hier auf TripAdvisor haben wir das Haus aufgesucht.Das Schweine Schnitzel war wie auf der Karte ausgeschrieben, in Butterschmalz in der Pfanne gebraten. Der Kartoffelsalat und auch der normale Salat waren richtig gut.Die Gemüsetaler meiner Frau waren zwar vegetarisch, also in Bayern nicht so unbedingt üblich, aber geschmacklich durchaus in Ordnung."

At some point, the traffic spit out in Murnau and we stroll comfortably through the pedestrian zone. It is warm, people smile around us and the street gastronomy has all hands to do. He knows and doesn't look for a free table. We leave the pedestrian zone in a safe way, bend twice and stand below the castle museum. A steep staircase up and we reach the almost orphaned guest garden of the Schlossvogels Restaurant Lounge Bar and Café! Yes, here we can choose any table, even if only hard beer tents with guaranteed back pain, but what a look over the roofs of Murnau! Quiet! And super interesting menu! This brings us immediately a friendly serviceman and gives us enough time to search it. I agree to my stomach “How much do you like?” “Two gears”, bruised is back. Well, then I take a main course and a dessert: What rarely happens – I can't decide.... Baked goat cheese on colorful leaf salads with raspberry dress? Or rather a grilled salmon quiche?? No, not? Now I have it: Fried zanderfilet on Paprika Rahm Kraut!! When the service comes, instead I order Bärlauch Knödel on mixed salad with yogurt garlic dressing € 8.50 Schatzl would like Schnitzel Wiener Kunst with potato salad € 11.80 – how boring; Against thirst two large Rhabarb Schorlen € 3.40. If the chairs were not so hard, you could be so smooth, so pleasantly quiet it is here. But there is also a second, just as friendly service as the first to bring us our food. How good is that?! It's been a long time since I had such good dumplings. Very long. Not too hard and not too soft, wonderfully covered with fresh beard, parmesan plank upstairs and the salad so fresh that it almost licks. Mild dazzling light dressing – I am happy. And this is also sweetheart with his carving, fried golden yellow, not only from above, also the underside some cooks mean yes, a carving side must be almost black as a smoker lung, which then belongs down, the guest does not look.... It can continue. For example, with a lime mousse € 4,90 for me and an apple strudel € 3,30 for treasure and an espresso € 1,90 . The mousse is so creamy and fluffy that it was impossible for the kitchen to pierce perfect cams. But the taste... even now that I write, the water comes back together. I don't like an apple strudel, so I don't care what is served on Schatzl's plate. “Now try it!” he needs me. All right, good? Lightly warm, large the homogeneous mass of small apple slices – that is not how to buy it, you have to do it yourself. I would have added caramelized walnuts to the recipe. But even without these two ingredients, the stem tastes good. The only point of criticism, and this also says Schatzl, when the operation comes to cleaning, the espresso was not hot. Without dizziness and sincere regret, she brings a new one. A model! On the way to the toilets I have made a few interiors, there are different corner areas for sitting – this has charm. Also inside everything is very clean, in the outside area it seems to be a certain inclination to let down. Unfortunately, the place is not accessible, there are steps or stairs everywhere. Conclusion: The word “pittoresk” was probably invented for Murnau. A trip here is put in the heart of all, and when hunger comes, please, now everyone knows where! Parking is available for a fee, either on the pedestrian zone side from which we come or from the other side, there is also the museum entrance."
