"I don 't know what I expected from Casino food, but Chef West really needs to pull this place together. I ordered the chicken fried steak and it had a very strange aftertaste that I couldn 't quite place. Possibly from the packaging of the ground beef; it did taste synthetic and unlike any spice I 've tried. The biscuit was dry, and crumbly (a matter of taste I suppose). The hash browns also had a very strange foretaste, and it is DIFFICULT to make hash browns taste poorly. I don 't know much about this restaurant 's food storage and quality control practices, but it would be no great surprise to me said practices were neglected or even negated. The reason I 'm not giving one star: Esmeralda killed it with the service. I noticed that she was bussing and serving near every table in the joint. Still tipping her fairly though the food was poor. My fiancé ordered the shrimp and lobster macaroni and cheese. DO NOT ORDER A SHRIMP DISH. Their flavor was also off. My brother 's fiancé ordered the shrimp Alfredo, and she concurred with my analysis of the flavor. I have been a front of house employee of several restaurants in California 's Central Valley as well as a pantry chef at Oddfellow 's Tavern in Woodbridge, CA and this is my take on Desert Room . Save yourself the cash and pick up some gas station food."

"Great place to stop for breakfast! It was a little confusing to find it. I was looking for a cafe, I didn 't realize it was inside a casino. We stopped in Jackpot on our way to Idaho Falls, I was starving (as usual) and I was in the mood for yummy breakfast. The restaurant is inside a small casino/hotel called Four Jacks. It was about 2 pm and the place was not very busy. Our server came to the table and brought us the menu. They serve breakfast from 7Am to 11PM, lunch from 11AM, and dinner at 5PM. Since I was in the mood for breakfast I got the ham and cheese omelette, the food came out fast and I was so surprised with the taste of the omelettes. They were super cheesy, not dried at all and delicious ham. Breakfast came with hash browns, a piece of fruit and whole wheat bread slices. The hash browns were really good too. They were crispy, cooked perfectly, and not very greasy. I 'm glad I found this place! I would eat here again when I 'm on another road trip."

"If we want a nice, spendy dinner, we always go here! You definitely need a reservation. The restaurant is very small with only 2 servers. The service for drinks and starters is a bit slow but the food is great! The lobster tail is something we get every time. It is the biggest and best lobster in 200 mile radius. The gnocchi is delightful! The lobster mac and cheese is hit and miss, sometimes dry but sometimes really good. The steaks are always so good! Perfectly cooked! The bread and butter is so awesome. And the little taste from the chef before the meal is a great surprise. Never the same! It is definitely expensive though. A little more than it should be, but we still love it!"

"Clean, stylish with a nice variety. I didn't try too much after reading the prior reviews I am not a buffet person...regardless, I went with the positive suggestions: ribs, mashed potatoes broccoli and they were good. My husband tired more wasn't not impressed with the sea food, but liked the shrimp cerveci on the salad bar. We liked the restaurant better at Cactus Pete's the prime rib the night before."
