"I walked in on December 16, 2021, and asked the guy behind the counter what was good? He replied, Everything 's good. I asked the next guy working behind the counter the same question, and he replied in kind. I ordered an ox tail dinner with all the sides. Without a doubt, the food served here is as authentic you can without taking a trip to the Caribbean. The food served here will appeal to all of your culinary senses. This is not one of those fancy Michelin five-starrestaurants on your bucket list you dream about being able to visit. However, at the Jamaican African Cuisine restaurant, you will receive the best plate of homecooked food between the Mississippi River and New York City. If you live inJackson, TN, or on the road traveling and looking for something different to break the monotony of the boring national chain restaurants, this is the place. The food is served like when eating at Grandma 's house. The food here is the bestJamaican cooking has to offer. The single serving portions are large enough for 2 dinners to share. The flavor is off the Richter scale, and if you are weight conscience, make a visit here your cheat day. Mr. Jospeh is the chef/owner ofJamaican African Cuisine with his two sons. He was a pleasure to meet and talk with every dish he prepares; his first ingredient is a double dose of L O V E. I enjoyed eating here so much. I dined twice in one day and also got plates togo for dinner the next day. The quality and value of the food make this a place I am anticipating visiting again soon very soon. "We called the order in and arrived 20 minutes later, when the order should have been ready and found our order hadn't been started. Discovered when we got home that the hummus was missing from all 4 falafel platters. Food just tastes very average. Fries are partially burnt. The pita is hard and dry. The missing humus would have helped us choke down the dry pita bread. One guy was doing everything, cook, cashier, server, greeter. He was a nice gentleman, but had way to much to do. We will not return. Don't recommend you eat here."

"I wish I could give them five stars, but Happy Cow won't let it for non-vegan restaurants. Few places know how to make a beautiful raw vegan salad with seaweed and avocado and other rainbow colored vegetables, but Sakura has mastered this art. I order the vegetable sun mono with extra seaweed and the vegetable sushi every time I go, and I'm never disappointed. For those looking for a fast service, a friendly staff and an affordable bite right from I-40, this is a good option. My most vegetarian children and allni men also enjoy the offers. Look at her!"
