No great impression. Rice had no taste, called before ordering on door taps to ensure that the sauce was on the tacos? not hot. They claimed there was no sauce on them. I have our food and there was actually sauce. It was just not sharp. Then paid $4 for 4 Churros and they were so hard I could?t even eat my two. My bf could hardly eat. Won waste $36 here ever again. Authentic, great menu items, good beer selections and some over the top table sauces. Well run w/ attentive knowledgable staff. Worth a stop in the Fondren area...

This is a great family owner neighborhood restaurant. Wonderful atmosphere, and friendly staff.

"Been there several times, about due for a report. Tough to find a parking place at prime time, but worth it. Everything inside and with the food is very precise and attention to detail is evident. Additionally, you are provided a warm cloth to clean your hands before your meal and a piece of fruit afterward. Got a to-go order recently and the Miso Soup was wrapped individually inside the larger bag and not tied in a hard knot, but with sort of a loop that was simple and easy to open. I don't do much take-out, so maybe everybody does it that way, but it was indicative of the aforementioned conscientious detail. All I've had are rolls and they seem a bit more delicate and special than some places and all have been top notch. A well managed and delicious place to dine."

"The red fish, fried catfish and blackened catfish were all fire. The French fries and onion rings were perfectly crispy with a good flavor. Only downside is the greens were watery. Despite not being busy (arguably slow), the waiter wasn’t that attentive although he was still helpful when he came."

"First time eating here for dinner, and I will be back! I had the redfish with butter beans (it comes in small and large portion) and it was scrumptious! The fish was seasoned and cooked perfectly, and the butter beans tasted like my Mamaw made them, wow. I had a delicious Manship margarita, OK, I had two of them, but I wasn't driving! We also ordered the apple bread pudding to share, and it was really good with a huge portion size and ice cream on top."
