"I walked in on December 16, 2021, and asked the guy behind the counter what was good? He replied, Everything 's good. I asked the next guy working behind the counter the same question, and he replied in kind. I ordered an ox tail dinner with all the sides. Without a doubt, the food served here is as authentic you can without taking a trip to the Caribbean. The food served here will appeal to all of your culinary senses. This is not one of those fancy Michelin five-starrestaurants on your bucket list you dream about being able to visit. However, at the Jamaican African Cuisine restaurant, you will receive the best plate of homecooked food between the Mississippi River and New York City. If you live inJackson, TN, or on the road traveling and looking for something different to break the monotony of the boring national chain restaurants, this is the place. The food is served like when eating at Grandma 's house. The food here is the bestJamaican cooking has to offer. The single serving portions are large enough for 2 dinners to share. The flavor is off the Richter scale, and if you are weight conscience, make a visit here your cheat day. Mr. Jospeh is the chef/owner ofJamaican African Cuisine with his two sons. He was a pleasure to meet and talk with every dish he prepares; his first ingredient is a double dose of L O V E. I enjoyed eating here so much. I dined twice in one day and also got plates togo for dinner the next day. The quality and value of the food make this a place I am anticipating visiting again soon very soon. "This place is a hidden treasure. I don’t even care for hamburgers but this place goes a step beyond your average burger. The “burger” which I believe is a treasure with its grilled aroma with it warm juices apparent as you bite in side this Colossal. If you have it being you need to try this place out. Yes the burgers are pricey but it’s well worth the money."

"Very courteous staff, quick service and amazing food. The quality of the food is truly great, you can taste the freshness in each bite. The tomatoe basil is simply delicious!!! And our go to sandwich is the santa fe chicken. We stopped here on out way to Texas and the bathrooms were impeccable! Super clean. They are maintaining social distancing and make customers wear mask for safety which is important. Highly recommend stopping by !"
