"I would highly recommend this place next time going through gold country. Pictures won't do this place justice. Super fresh fish and excellent flavors. I wasn't expecting the food to be of this calibre. I think they just beat out my home town favorite sushi spot.Fantastic!"

"Super yummy! Got two dishes from the seasonal menu, and they were bomb! The strawberry lemonade and mango iced tea were also delish! A perfect stop on the drive to SF back from Tahoe for a excellent bite to eat. Plus the bruschetta was on point! Would definitely come back again."

"Mel's Diner at this location was good. The food was okay, didn't really have enough seasoning on my hash browns but I'm not a very picky eat nor do I complain much about my food. I still are it. The waitress was very nice and friend to my friend and me."

"There were many empty tables when we got there, but it still took 15 minutes to be seated. The prices are average for this type of food, but the food wasn't that good. They serve large portions, but if you don't like the food, then you are stuck with a large portion of semi good food. Their Chicken Chow Mein is tasty.
