"I have visited this restaurant more than ten times over the past few years that I've been a resident in the area. Whenever I have a taste for home cooked food, this has been my Go-To. But this may have been my last visit. The food just doesn't taste the same anymore. Maybe new recipes are being used. The seasoning, flavor and taste overall just lacks what it has in the past. My last two visits have been this way. I'm saddened. The customer service is still good. Nice atmosphere as well."

"No frills take out kitchen. I was excited to try the oxtail but they did not have it on the menu. The smothered porkchops were out of this world, literally fall off the bone tender and flavorful. The Mac n cheese was average but good. The baked beans do not seem homemade, possibly canned and just doctored up. The salisbury steak was absolutely awful. Very bland and dry. My husband actually ended up finishing my pork chops because his was so bad. The service was also sub par. She was not friendly but also not rude....just going through the paces, without a smile or any kindness."

"This small bar/grill is the absolute best place for tasty eating and a large selection of ales, ipa’s, etc. the hotel is located in the inner city of jacksonville, it is convenient to the hyatt regency (easily accessible to foot). they come hungry as the portions are extremely large. but not freeze: eating is so delicious and served cake hot that they eat every last bite. they will not be disappointed here."

"Wow…This place exceeded my expectations by so much. Ive passed by it many times and thought I had to get in there and try the food. Let me tell you they did not disappoint. The food is Great. I had the Gator bites to start and the crab cakes as my meal. Best crab cakes I’ve ever had. Went in with my family and Abby was my Server. She was very attentive and when asked for suggestions she led me in the right direction. I had my daughter, who is one, and my newborn with me and were accommodated for both. Kayla the manager on duty showed an overall care for my family and made sure we were comfortable. My one year old was being a bit fussy and she asked us what she likes to watch and I froze up like I didn’t know lol. Kayla kindly found something kid friendly on the TV and it worked like a charm. Ive never had anyone do that. I will continue to support this business. Thanks so much Abby for the services you provided. Kayla you are appreciated so much for your extraordinary Managerial Skills."
