Visited after a recommendation, wasn’t disappointed. A short distance below the mid station for the gondola on H9 (skiing). Food very good, served quickly and efficiently, George our waiter was/ is a credit to the restaurant. Interior design is nice, as can be seen in the other reviewers photo’s. Would definitely recommend. Easy walk back to the mid-point gondola station (in ski boots). read more.

In pleasant weather you can even be served in the outdoor area.

In Switzerland it's not just about and the hills, but also a fine and crispy portion of Rösti or a flavorful fondue - with or without cheese that you can find at Alpengasthof Bärsteinalm, And in addition to that, the restaurant also offers a variety of Austrian meals, including Wiener Schnitzel, scrumptious Kässpatzen and also a portion of Kaiserschmarrn - with or without raisins. There are also tasty dishes available, typical for Europe.

My absolute favourite stop when skiing so delighted to try it this summer as well ! Love the bears on the outside and never disappointed with the food inside.

"The cafe is located at the north side of Bad Hofgastein where the location can be also reached by walking upto the hill. There is an amazing view where you can also get a little bit warm with sunbathing.The menu includes local desert tastes and typical coffee selections. "This is an out of the way place with a very unique character and excellent atypical Austrian cuisine. they also broke their own beer, which was good. eating was a unique absorption of Austrian food, cooked on an open fire with the old technology....You even have a load where they sell organic products they make. it was fantastic and a welcome change. the server was very nice, friendly and competent, and the prices were moderate. the portions were generous and the ingredients were fresh. in any case worth a trip. it is small, so reserve. jack from prag"

"My man, daughter and mother ordered an egg in caffe. When I came in with my two youngs, the dame on the theke said very rude that we could not eat inside because my young ice cream from another eat. I thought that was really infancy and went right away. this is not the type of treatment they expect at a tourist site. the people in bad gastein are friendly and the service is excellent, but this caffe is a great disappointment."
