What User likes about Tropical Grill:
NIGERIA Eat the World NYC review: The cozy restaurant on the day, the nonstop lounge at night, Tropical Grill is a very interesting place on an otherwise uninteresting route from Rockaway Blvd to JFK. Afternoons are a great time to come here to taste the wonderful cuisine, including this fish pepper soup, rank high on the list of top-spicy dishes. Try Nigerian beers and fall into the slow rhythm of a West African aft... View all feedback.

What Jared Cohee doesn't like about Tropical Grill:
Please avoid this restaurant at all costs because they will frustrate your life. Not only is the customer service terrible, but they also keep switching your order and sending unsealed food. The two plates of rice I ordered today both came unsealed and this is not the first time this has happened. Sometimes when you order carrot cake, they give you red velvet instead or when you order fried rice they give you jollof.... View all feedback.

"I've been meaning to come here for awhile and let me tell you it was worth the wait. I had the Moroccan Cigars which was accompanied by Tahini and Harissa. It was ?. I also had the Meze of Falafel which was accompanied by a dipping sauce also. I think it was Tahini also. I had their Levantine Old Fashioned as the beverage. It was very good. The service is wonderful and so is the atmosphere. The space is small but the have outside seating in ten front and a very cute backyard which transports you to the Mediterranean. The music was very good, even though I didn't understand the lyrics. It was also at a perfect volume. It was Israeli music. The prices are very good and they have some great specials. I definitely will go back to try some of their other dishes."

"I was surprised to see a bubble tea spot in this area. The store is very small so you do end up getting up close with people as they are trying to get through, but there are 2 doors, 1 on each side of the store so that's a plus. I got the passionfruit slush which is my go-to. I am glad that there aren't any seeds in it so I was able to enjoy it to the fullest."

"One of those places that actually lives up to the hype. The food is delicious and decadent. The service is professional and attentive, but easygoing. IMHO this is the best burger in NYC and the French dip might even be better. Prime rib was good, but a bit expensive for what you get. Sides are all A+, best fries ever."
