Dove Vivi is one of my favorite restaurants in Portland and definitely the best pizza. You're looking at a deep dish cornmeal crust but not that coarse stuff, this is finer ground and makes for a lovely tender crust. Then it is loaded with top quality cheeses and other delectable treats from local farms. This is not pizza to me. It smelled great but the crust is like a combo of gritty cornbread and cat litter (with no flavor on its own). “Sausage and peppers”? Really? Where’s the sausage? Taco Bell would be proud with the meat presentation. And the weakest/cheapest… green bell peppers sautéed on top… incredibly low dollar.
