Delicious!! I had the pork katsu Dynamite style, it was incredible. It was easily enough food for 3 people, the lid wouldn?t even close on the to-go box! The breading and batter on the pork was crispy and flavorful. The sauces were VERY tasty as well. Rice was perfectly cooked and the mac salad is your basic yummy mac salad(I wish it was potato-mac). I really appreciate their Instagram feed as they keep the daily spe... View all feedback.
I’ve been wanting to visit GrindWitTryz for the LONGEST time and finally the stars aligned! I ordered takeout and had the Spicy Pork Bulgogi and Ono Chicken combo. It was absolutely worth it!! I can’t even begin to describe how perfect everything was. I wish the spicy pork bulgogi was a little spicier but it’s all good. Everything was extremely flavorful and the portions were huge!! I had to split it between two days haha. GrindWitTry y’all are just the most amazing and hard working folks. Thank you for making such fabulous food and for being incredible! I’ll definitely be back!
I visited Oregon briefly on a whim and was looking for a lunch spot and let me tell you- I DREAM of this place. The price per portion ratio is unmatched. I got the spicy ahi tuna and ono chicken platter and the box had to be tied down with rubber bands. I was filled for lunch and had plenty of leftovers for dinner. The tuna was so fresh and the chicken was crispy, both were so flavorful. Despite the line being out the door, the service was quick and the cashier was so patient in helping me choose my meal. When I make my way back down to Portland, I will definitely make a stop! 10/10
The Ono chicken is one of the best things I've ever eaten. I was bummed that we've been struggling to find good hawaiian (especially in Vancouver all of our options are terrible). But then we stumbled onto GrindWitTryz and I can say that my craving has been 100% satisfied.I had the combo plate with Ono Chicken, Teriyaki Beef and they all come with white rice and mac salad.Only complaint was the beef being a little chewy but still tasted amazing. I only wish I lived a little closer because I would come here all the time. The restaurant itself isn't all that amazing or cute but it's in a good area and the food is 10/10.
I moved to Portland 5 years ago and this is one of my go to places. I live in north Portland and a coworker who also does, recommended it one day, and I've been a loyal customer since. I order from them at least 3-4 times a month so I surely owe them a review at this point. I've ordered almost everything on the menu by now. Quality, delicious food, and big portions. I usually end up with 3 meals for myself with one order. The crazy chicken is perfectly seasoned and cooked. The short ribs are always juicy and flavorful. The walnut shrimp is like the walnut shrimp from Panda Express, if that shrimp was 100 times better. The poke is what I most often crave. I like it best with rice, but often I order it by itself, and put it in everything for a week--salads, veggie bowls, or bento boxes because it's just a delicious, flavorful experience on its own. I've never been a fan of mac salad but the kind they make is amazing. Grindwittryz has done something wonderful, and I'm a happy transplant that gets to enjoy their hard work and be proud to be in their neighborhood.
Such a hidden gem. Who would have thought that Portland would be where I would find one of my favorite Hawaiian spots. So glad that a friend recommended we check it out. Everything on the menu tasted great and the prices were pretty reasonable.A bit hard to find parking around this area, so be prepared to make a few laps and some of the dishes run out towards the end of the day. So come early or prepare to compromise
