After growing up eating at Slavic restaurants, where portions are generous and still delicious, I was disappointed Kachka gets away with small plates of dishes with simple flavors. High end Slavic exists, for sure, as in Russian Tea Time in Chicago, where dishes are masterful and complex. Kachka is simply expensive bite size portions of what should be comfort food. The food here really is fantastic. The Herring in a fur coat is very authentic and delicious. Also loved the Siberian pilmini. Would definitely come again.
Great atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. Everything I ate was delicious! I'm not much of a vodka guy but I thought that it was great as well.
