We happened upon Sweet Basil when we were traveling through Portland 10 years ago. We were in town again tonight and decided to try it again. It was amazing just like it was 10 years ago. Service was great and our food came quickly and well priced. Of the many thai restaurants we have eaten over the years, Sweet Basil remains one of the best. Also, if you can't handle spicy, consider going very mild. View all feedback.
What Randall Springfield doesn't like about Sweet Basil Thai Cuisine:
The food I would give a solid 3 star. I’m giving it a 1 star because we ordered over the phone and realized after we got home from picking it up they added a $10 late night gratuity without any notification. Also the $22 sampler plate was definitely not worthy of that price, chewy wontons, super dry tofu, mushy starchy rice with our entree….not a happy customer.
