What Mark A likes about Airport Tavern:
Its a little quirky but after you figure out how to order its fine. I had a steak which was quite good. My wife and chicken which she enjoyed. This is no fancy eatery, but the service was fine, the beer cold and the food good. So not much else to say. View all feedback.

The lunch menu at the table has express lunch as $17 but on ordering the express rump lunch has increased to $19. On asking what the actual price was I was advised they did not have rump today. I ordered a Caesar salad and my partner order fish chips and salad. "Smith Street Social is a beautiful venue with a lot of potential, but it seems like both the staff and kitchen don't cope under pressure. There was a function on upstairs so I maybe they put all their effort there to ensure the people upstairs had a great night. Unfortunately if they can't successfully run the core business at the same time as a function, they're better off just doing one or the other. We'd booked a table, but waited a long time to even speak to a staff member to find out where our table was. The staff seemed awkward, inexperienced, and reluctant to be there I didn't see any one of them smile at us or any other customer. Our meals took 50 minutes to come out and at no point during that time did anyone communicate with us that the wait would be so long. The barra was decent, but the burger arrived cold and very dry. Basically: I wouldn't recommend. There's too many great pubs and restaurants and even food trucks in Darwin to spend 50 minutes and $26 for a cold dry burger from unsmiling staff."
