During a visit to South Africa we visited some of them. some vegan options, inexpensive and very tasty.
#MugnBean #Lonehill provided us with a fantastic #vegan meal, if it weren’t for them, we would have fainted! ‘Twas a hot summers day with temps soaring at 36%, and heatwave warning going out. We were running around, busy as ever, and desperate for refreshments and calories to pep our energies up. We took a chance with this establishment, it paid off! They have vegetarian options which can easily be veganised, what happened next was a taste explosion! Thanks to their chef, our waitress Anna, and manager Lloyd, we fell into good hands. The cream disappeared from our tomato soup, and the accompanying mozzarella toast magically transformed into an avo offering. It was perfect par for the bowl being shaken up amidst all the excitement. Their chickpea and butternut salad is out of this world! Really, we were still talking about it on our journey back to base. Chickpeas were perfectly curried and roasted, the feta was subbed for avo, chef swapped out the honey walnuts for plain ones, and spontaneously developed for us a special mustard and syrup salad dressing, all exquisite, well balanced, to unite everything all together, we enjoyed their sugar free iced apple and gooseberry tea garnished with apple slice. Lovely outside section in the shade, under a brolli, fresh air, vibrant atmosphere, great service, and WiFi Thanks to the team for saving the day, new to go to place, would defiantly recommend !
The cappuccino with soy milk at this restaurant is absolutely delicious. It would be even better if they offered more vegan options on the menu.
I am thrilled that Mugg and Bean have expanded their menu to include a variety of vegan options. It's great to have more choices for plant-based meals.
