"Delicious food at a reasonable price! Menu items range from burgers to steaks, with the price range running between $8-$12. My hubby and I ordered two house specialties: the fried liver and onions and the 9 oz. hamburger steak with onions. Both come smothered in a brown gravy. Each came with a salad and choice of a side. The Ranch Dressing was homemade. Portion sizes were large, and we were both full when we left. I didn't think to take pictures until partway done, but the bowl with the veggie choice is sized more like a cereal-sized bowl, and was filled full. My broccoli was actually cooked just right... not overcooked, not undercooked. Tulips is a pub, so there is a bar area. The walls were lined with TVs tuned to football. There was one side room that had a pool table and we noticed a dart board near the front door. The young woman who served us was attentive and friendly. Tables are spread out some for social distancing and there are outdoor dining options for those who prefer to do so. The menus are spray disinfected between customers."

"Horrible. If I could give no star I would. The food was terrible. Server came over before we could really taste anything so I couldn’t say anything was wrong at that point. We didn’t see her again until she dropped off another iced tea for my husband and the check by that time it was too late and he had to get back to work. His chicken in his taco salad was not drained. He poked a hole in it and filled his plate with water. My food was a joke. I paid $8.49 for a folded over tortilla with cheese and two small bowls of runny refried beans. Then I was charged $1.49 for a small bowl of sour cream. I will not recommend this place the food is bland and watered down. The quantity and quality of food is not worth it. I also had to wait for 4 minutes to be acknowledged to be rung out. It was my server and she didn’t ask how things was. She took my card with no word. The staff isn’t friendly and the food is tasteless."

"Steak was not very good at all. Way over priced and had no flavor. The fried scallops were amazing. Salad was shredded lettuce assuming for burgers. Great ranch dressing. Asked for catfish and got white fish but was very good. Still wanna taste their catfish. Hush puppies were the best tasking ones I've ever had since my grandmother passed away. Shaped like onion but were Hush puppies. Would go back again if they clean their bathrooms and order seafood only."

"When we pulled up we were not to sure about it.. but I had a feeling the place was going to be a lost gem. It sure was! The food was fantastic, people were great and friendly. The best breakfast I've had in a long time. Sure beat the Waffle House."

"Friendly service and fresh food. The atmosphere is also great. The Burritos are murderers and very big. It is not the cheapest place in town, but worth the price. You also have a complete service bar if this is your thing."

"There were almost more employees than diners at this location! At least it seemed that way. We were seated near the front door which was where the host station and the kitchen were. We were a group of 4 at a table for 6. We had plenty of room for all of the trays and plates and glasses and things that accumulated on the table. If we'd had 6 people it would not have been enough space. Our server was very good, she was fairly busy but checked on us often. The starter bread was good. Our salads and entrees were good as well. My parents-in-law shared a steak and each got a potato. I got the salmon and it was very good. My husband got the NY strip and enjoyed it. I would come back again if driving through Johnson City."
