Yes, but I hesitated between 3 and 4 stars. The boss insists a little too much on the "homemade"... as if he wanted to dispel the doubt. As if we couldn't make the difference between frozen and cooked heat at the minute. "There aren't a lot of good restaurants in this part of Charentes. In fact, there aren't a heck of a lot of restaurants period. Which could be explained by the fact we were the sole customers at this humble eatery the night we went. Nothing spectacular, but a very warm welcome from the proprietor, who showed us an antique cookbook from his collection. Good "country salad" for starters, then delicious duck, a three-dessert assortment to finish off, plus a bottle of st estephe, all for around 60 euros. An honest meal at an honest price!"
