"Pasteles en hojas (your typical tamal in Central and North America) made out of either plantains or yuca root, are simply delicious! My favorite is the yuca root one. Some people might tell you the quality isn’t the same but I tell you, they keep tasting great to me. Every time I come to the DR, I pass by because I crave their yuca root pasteles. You won’t regret these."
