"Didn’t have the chance to eat the shabu-shabu, had the lunch tonkatsu set. Very worth the money. Tender meat with the pork taste coming through without being overpowering. Cheese katsu was also extremely good. Would highly recommend. Shame didn’t come with roasted sesame that we can grind to go with the sauce and meat."

"Great eating, great atmosphere, great counter and great staff. a large selection of foods available, including raw and cooked items. a beautiful note was the transport belt is two ties, the top serves the sushi and the bottom holds tassen and sauce dishes. there was an impromptu sale of fresh tamagoyaki in the form of a heart since I was with my friend, we were offered a plate. they have a cool system that tabulates their bill only by stacking their tellers and they move a magic stick over the teller and their bill is automatically calculated!"

"Perfect Vegan Experience 10/10 Run by the sweetest couple, this small restaurant tucked away in the back streets of Kagoshima City is a perfect place to wind down and take a breather. The food which is nearly all vegan is some of the best I have had in my life and the price is also super reasonable. The Vegetable Curry is amazing (even more so if you get the coconut milk base and the rice is the best I have ever had. It also offers free tea and a sesame seasoning that I go slightly crazy with... sorry : If you take a trip to Kagoshima City or live nearby, you are missing out on some of the prefecture's best food if you don't stop off here."

"My friend and I each had the baby-sized original Shirokuma shaved ice. The shaved ice is infused with a mixture of milk and condensed milk loaded with an assortment of fruits and jellies. The waiting staff explained that the raisins and the cherry on top were to make the shaved ice look like a bear’s face. Baby size is pretty big, and I barely fished it by myself. My friend and I talked about sharing a regular size if we decide to go back"

"My wife and I visited this place for dinner on a Thursday night. The staff were all very welcoming and the food was delicious. We had the chef's choice of sushi, chawanmushi, clam and mushroom soup, and coffee. Despite us knowing only very basic Japanese, we had a great evening. The waitress spoke some English and they also have an English menu. We would love to return again soon. A hidden gem and a step up from your average sushi bar highly recommended."
