According to my teenager the chicken burger was the best he had ever eaten. Full of flavour & crunch. My pastrami, aged cheddar & sweet pickle toastie was delicious also. Beautifully presented food, friendly service & interesting location. Just one negative, the size of the coke compared to the cost was ridiculous. $4 for a 200ml can. What User doesn't like about Mason & Bird:
When was the last time you went to a cafe and the salad that you were presented with was mainly iceberg lettuce? Thats what I got at Mason & Bird along with a few bits if chicken. Not memorable. But the upside was the staff especially the barista who was always happy and took time to include you in the vibe of the place. Went here for coffee and muffins. Best almond milk latte I've had for a while! Banana muffins nice and fresh. Really cozy and fun atmosphere. Very friendly service. Will have to go back for lunch menu sounds amazing!
Since it was raining outside, I decided to visit this restaurant nestled in the hills. I was impressed by the generous portion sizes and delicious food. The prices were reasonable and the speciality coffee and tea complemented my date waffles perfectly. I particularly enjoyed the fresh mushrooms and the flavorful shredded chicken salad.
Really impressed with this place! Cheerful and helpful staff, lovely atmosphere and drinks set the tone. Then the food came out... the cauliflower gnocchi was perfection and the seemingly simple beet and kale salad was actually next level delicious with its fresh leaves, heirloom beetroot, tasty dressing and the nicest walnuts I’ve ever had! Planning a return visit very soon :
From the very first visit, and overtime since, you get a warm welcome to Mason & Bird. The coffee is always good and the triple cheese toastie is a great lunchtime snack. Limited numbers inside which can be an issue on a hot day in the hills. It has been popular since it opened. It is consistent with the food it serves.
