"Best hollandaise sauce ever tasted, made on the premises. Coffee is a 10/10 served in a large mug. Friendly, very helpful staff. Will def be back!"

"Came on a Saturday night. Only half full so easily grabbed a table, some menus and a couple of ciders. Queued up to order for 15 mins only to be told once I got to the checkout that because we don’t have a booking they...can’t take our order so we should come back in 20 mins or so. Didn’t realise this was a rule at a Tav. Considered leaving but Ciders were good so hung out. Queued up again and order was reluctantly taken. People next to us asked if their table could be cleared and the owner (who had nothing in her hand) said they were busy so they will clear it later. She could’ve just grabbed a plate on her way past but looked put out. Those people left without ordering (probs didn’t have a booking anyway). Food was good had the pork ribs. All meals seemed to be large portions, I would describe it as solid pub food. I’d go back but book a table and ignore the rude service knowing that the area is short staffed at present, kick back and enjoy a bevvy."

"Finding lunch at 2pm in Kalbarri is tricky. Most restaurants were closed. Thankfully there's Finlay's. Chili mussels was one of the specials of the day unanimously we said it was the best mussels we had anywhere. It wasn't hard or chewy, the mussels were soft and sweet. Oysters were good quality, and our mains were very good as well. At the end of our week long holiday, I asked my family where they thought they had the best meal. A few of them voted for Finlay's. It's very good and certainly worth a visit if you're in Kalbarri."

"We ordered a large array of food, some of which were disappointing but a highlight was the steak burger with the lot. The steak was cooked through but surprisingly it was still tender. The Turkish bun played well into the flavour of the steak. It ended up exploding but doesn’t it always. The rest of the meals were average at best even though they exhibited exotic meats. From a boar stew, to an emu noodle dish, to the deep fried crocodile the food was unfortunately bland and forgettable. The boar was so tender but the frozen veggies and mash potatoes let it down. The emu was very tough, the noodles were tough and the sauce was canned. The crocodile was also very tough and needed a mango chutney instead of slices, and a proper coleslaw. Definitely needs improvement Edit: There are is no such thing as customer service, one waitress plus the owner who was not happy to be here. Needs improvement"

"Five stars for this little beauty. the menu is incredibly diverse with salads, packings, seafood, steaks, parmies and a fabulous Asian selection. it is open for lunch and dinner and the drink palette on the bar is impressive. a brilliant selection of icy cold beer and a wine palette to not rival all boutique winery expensively. I'll be here as often as I can. nothing to blame and something for adults and children. only the problem is the choice as there are so many and they are all amazing."

"This bakery Cafe has a great range of food, plenty of cakes and other desserts, fresh bread, pies and sausage rolls, sandwiches wraps, sushi and even a selection of hot Chinese food. We're here for a week and already been three times, the place always seems buzzing only very minor complaint is that most of the meringue had broken off a lemon meringue tart we bought but that is being picky!"

"We were in Denham and received a recommendation, that if we were in Kalbarri, make sure we get a pie from Shawny’s. We had already planned an overnight stay, and so we stopped in. The pies (brekky and eggs Benedict) were awesome. The freshness and tastiness of the pies were second to none. Wish we had more days to try more pies and food. Recommend a stop in."

"Just missed the mark. The atmosphere and concept was very appealing. However, the food was very disappointing. The kids enjoyed the music, the fire warm, the fish was ok, the chips cold and the squid rings were not even real squid? Go if you want the experience- not the food."
