Coming from Tampa, Florida (home of the Cuban sandwich) I know a good Cuban... and between my time in Portland and LA and along the west coast it's rare a find a good and authentic tasting one. Well, look no further than Made in Havana. Easily one of the best damn cuban sandwiches I've had in a reallllly long time. The flavor, the bread, the crunch. All of it was perfect. What Cece L doesn't like about Made In Havana:
I really wanted to like this place. I invited four of my coworkers to try it.Unfortunately it didn't work us Food was just okay (not enough flavor) from what we expected from Cuban cuisine. I guess it's okay if you are hungry and just need to grab something and go. They don't have restrooms or a place to wash your hands.Definitely overpriced for what you get. Not for me/us View all feedback.
One of the best Cuban spots I’ve had and I’m from Miami. The empanadas are juicy and crispy on the outside, black beans are flavorful, and they use organic pork. They are on the pricier side but they have generous portions. Definitely recommend.
Excellent choice for delicious food for a party of one or c a c full catering order for 20.
Nice, family owned restaurant. Great Cuban food with outdoor seating. Service was prompt, polite, and energetic.
Worst Cuban food I've ever had. Seriously. Poor quality. No flavor. Ordered togo food. The Vaca Frita was awful, the meat was undercooked and flavorless. No seasoning and the meat tasted old and very poor quality. The pickled onions were old and dry. The Pollo a la Plancha came sin plancha(without the grill) the chicken was undercooked and had no grill marks or any other signs that it was cooked. It looked boiled and had zero seasoning or flavor. I feel like I wasted my money and I'm really disappointed. The yuca fritas and the pastelitos were great. But the two meals we ordered were terrible. It ruined the whole experience. Not worth it. Sorry to say it. I never leave bad reviews if i can help it but you can get a better meal at any street taco vendor and not Maybe it was and spend a fraction of the price. I don't mind paying for good food but this food went straight in the trash. Maybe it was an off night but either way. Not good. $67 not worth it.EDIT TO ADD: the cookie and lemon bar for dessert was awesome.

The sandwich comes with a side of beans too in true cuban sandwich style. If you're looking for a solid cuban in LA, this is the spot.
