I LOVE IT!!! Stuff is nice every time we are coming. I love the idea and plenty of choices starting with base and finishing with toppings. The prices are good. Portions are fair. Super lovely backyard with fan. The best place in LA I’ve ever been for smoothie bowls. They stole my heart View all feedback.

It’s such a shame! The food here is AMAZING but those workers in there so so rude! I’m choosing my toppings and one of the ladies keeps pressuring to pick them at her pace like I can’t decide what I want? You go in there no greeting nobody wants to take your order they literally make it so obvious that they want you out of there and they just want to go home, so uncomfortable and miserable I’m sure whoever is in char... "The Honey Garlic Wings is my fav. I never get tired of eating it again and again. I always get a few bonus/extra chicken pieces with my order. The spicy chicken is a little too spicy sometimes not for kids. The kimchi rice is hit or miss, sometimes super good, sometimes so so. But overall their chicken are pretty good..."

"I first heard of HomeState from a Buzzfeed Worth It video many many years ago and it has been on my list ever since. I love breakfast and I love tacos. Makes sense to combine the two! I haven't been to the other locations, but Playa Vista is a nice area and it's a lot easier to find street parking. There are some tables inside, and there's lots of outdoor seating. You order at the counter, get a number, and find a seat. Here's what we tried: Cookie milk iced coffee: It was a solid iced coffee and the concept of using cookie milk is very exciting, but unfortunately the flavor wasn't that strong Blanco (egg whites, shiitake mushrooms, monterey jack): I wanted something lighter to balance out the brisket and this was so good! This taco was definitely more stuffed than the other ones. Egg whites get a bad rep for having no flavor but this taco had a bunch of flavor. Only downside was that because of the mushrooms, it was pretty wet so it was a little difficult to eat. Perhaps not the one to order if you're trying to look cute on a date, but soo worth the mess. Pecos (eggs and brisket): Brisket for breakfast? Don't need to tell me twice. The brisket was very tender and paired super nicely with the eggs. Do yourself a favor and get the tacos with their house made flour tortillas. These were seriously some of the best flour tortillas I've had and if I could, I would love to just take home a giant stack of tortillas. I'll probably try some of the other locations that are a little closer to me, but this was a fantastic first experience and I'm happy to report it exceeded my expectations!"

"This place smacks!! Thick toast, delicious eggs, and the sauce is on point. You can’t dine in at this location and you have to wait a lil bit because there’s lots of Togo’s in addition to on-site orders, however, well worth it!"
