"If you are an attractive woman DO NOT COME HERE! I am a local and my friends and I dine here regularly. The food is great but what ruins the experience is when the male workers casually stare at you and talk about you 75% time!!! (Or whenever they don’t have something to do. Genuinely can be a scary and uncomfortable environment especially for young girls- we have been experiencing this for years. So if you like the food I would not recommend going alone. We have resorted to ordering the food to take out but still unfortunately are confronted and swarmed (not exaggerating by 5-10 workers every time we come in. Do with that information what you will."

"Not fancy food, but good food in beautiful portions. The restaurant was busy during our visit, but the waitress remained attentive. In the dining room there are interesting original works of art and historical photographs. Bathrooms are updated recently. Great experience!"

"Lovely dinner date with my husband. Ginger was an excellent server and made sure our experience was exceptional. The food was unique and delicious-the chef has made some traditional favorites his own and enhanced our enjoyment by making it an adventure in new things. Filet was perfect in the French Onion soup pairing, melt in your mouth! I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a baked potato that much in years-lavish amount of butter made it better! Will return again-definitely worth the short drive from Iowa City to have top notch food."
