"Just got back from here and wanted to throw up a review. We went here for lunch around 2:30pm, had one of their bento boxes which had 1/2 sandwich 1/2 chicken wrap 2 x dry fried ribs (I think) bowl of fruit bowl of soup of the day brownie all that for about $14 (really good stuff). We sat on the large patio and they also had a nice inside (see pics). Kid friendly, they also sell breakfast (all day) , snax and beer. Close to shopping/sandman hotel downtown. 5 stars....take a peak!!!!"

"Well after cutting my lawn today for the last two hours I need a good place to go and relax so off I went to Motive Cafe. The place is east going on Saturday afternoon great food and nice hot warm cup of coffee. Watching the rain out the big front window light soft music playing g in background people coming and going now life feels like it is slowing down after a week of traveling to big city of Vancouver feels wonderful to be in my home town of Kamloops in first class coffee cafe. "This is a little hole in the wall that I have driven by numerous times and never noticed or considered, but after seeing several reviews here on TripAdvisor, decided to try it. Wife thought it looked sketchy on the outside, but it is clean inside with plenty of customers :)Ordered a couple of bento boxes for lunch, and a couple of dynamite rolls. The miso soup was delicious, the prawn and other assorted tempura was excellent also. The only questionable part was the rolling of the dynamite roll; it was huge, and it fell apart. It was stuffed with large pieces of cucumber and fresh avocado, and it was tasty, but I see now why they offer the "small" option of dynamite roll. Interesting. Not the best sushi in town, but definitely good enough to go back. Oh, they do offer a small amount of Korean bulgogi; but just a few options as well as sushi."
