really disappointed at this place! it is a market-style venue where every supplier sells various vegetarian foods. we went all the way there, as there is a little out of the way the capital is, just to find that there are hardly seats and eating on the display is left and covered with flying. no attempt to even turn off the fly. Not really. we left. but the place has good travel advisor reviews, so maybe they check i... View all feedback.
No frills, authentic sri lanka vegan food. not all stallkeepers can speak English, so if they don't have native speakers with them, they do some research before. hopper, kothu, dosai, pittu are clips; they can also drink kenda (Kerbs drink/Porreridge,) red brain,...big tee a lot of sweetness. the larger meal times are rs 80 max, most others are rs 20/25 per portion. do not expect a stylish atmosphere or sitting opportunity, although it is badly illuminated not the cleanest place. the standing counter rear is a good option if full tabs. 2 wash basins for washing the finger available p/s: no cutlery available
No need to eat anywhere else for the Lankan experiance. You get whatever you want to eat and know about Lanka. Its pretty clean considering its dirt cheap, but if you are a bit fussy , then dont come here or takeaway from here
The food here is so cheap and so good! If you want a good Sri Lankan experience of food and eating then this is the place to go! Everyone here was so lovely with the locals pointing out the best food to try and showing...us how to order. Don't think I spent over 100lkr and had enough to fill me up! Would seriously recommend
As always the Hela Bojung with decent price, tasty food and lovely women. Everywhere in Sri Lanka you can try the specialities of the place you go and you support women empowerment. Plus you pay small money for great meals, why not to go?
Many varieties of Sri Lankan dishes and sweets. Run by Dept of Agriculture and well maintained. Helpful staff. For sure Some of the dishes are new to current generation of Sri Lankan’s as well.
