Teddy's Bigger Burgers

Great service, awesome burgers and onion rings. Their haupia shake is a must try!

We had visited during our last stay in the Kailua, which was about 12yrs ago. We were excited to return bring our kiddos along, but this experience left us very disappointed.The restaurant has not aged well; you can tell the shop has been neglected as there are several areas in disrepair. Beyond that, all of the tables were dirty, not being attended to after guests would leave.The staff was distracted uninterested.The food was also disappointing. Our medium burgers bordered on well done and were chewy. The shake was pasty. First milkshake I can say I’ve not finished. The fries were ok.I know a lot can change in 12yrs, including our own tastes and perspectives. But, on its own merits in 2024, this is just not a good burger joint.

Please be careful to check your burger is safely cooked. Not only was there serious cross-contamination apparent with mine, it was cold and raw on the inside. I was starving and grabbed a medium burger to go, got in my car, and took a couple bites as I was driving without looking. I noticed my third bite was strangely cold and took a look and the meat was raw. There was a thin seared layer with raw, slimy, and cold meat on the inside. I pulled over and began to inspect it to try and calm my worries but it just got worse from there. The bottom bun had a chunk of RAW uncooked beef pressed into it which is a sign they are using the same cutting boards for sandwich prep and patty prep. I was horrified and freaked out thinking I was about to get horrible food poisoning. I did have some moderate 'bathroom ' issues for a few days following but did not have any stomach issues thankfully. I will never be going back. If I lived closer I would go back to demand a refund but I was on the clock to deliver a doordash order across Island where I live and its not worth it to drive all the way back. You guys need to SERIOUSLY up your cooking and kitchen safety game because this is not right at all.

Awesome place to grab a burger. The staff is top notch here. Very friendly and respectful. Will be back for sure. Had a burger and onions rings.

The zip line was a blast. Such friendly helpers. I was nervous about it and they put me right at ease.
