"One of the best meals I’ve had in Johannesburg in a long time. We had a lovely time and the poached pear and pumpkin pie desserts were just delicious to end our fantastic meal off with. "If I had to choose what my last meal on earth would be, it would be pizza from La Piovra. I have never tasted pizza so incredible. My partner and I are there basically every week. Really friendly staff too! The only reason I have given it 4 stars is because the lighting in there is WAY too bright. It needs yellow light not white light. It’s very uncomfortable for the eyes and I’ve witnessed a few people complaining to the staff about it during all the times I’ve been there. Please can something be done? We love sitting down and eating but after an hour we just can’t do the bright lighting anymore."

"This friendly cafe with a small shop is a good place to grab a raw juice, freshly frozen (not dried/powdered) spirulina slushie, along with a decent series of vegan smoothies, wraps, burgers, bowls, pizzas, etc... There is also a daily lunch buffet that usually has some good food. Just make sure what you order as some items contain eggs, milk and/or honey. The camp site has vegan cheese and yogurt; water kefir and combucha; vegan meat products; dried fruit nuts, seeds, grains and beans; freshly frozen spirulina and even Natto (traditional Japanese fermented whole soybean); among others."

"What can I say...great Roadhouse...service with a smile...delicious food...excellent quality. I have been to Kota Joe in Pretoria...first time in Edenvale. We had the Chicken Strip Kota and Halloumi wrap without the wrap as my Natalie is Gluten intolerant...but delicious. And of course we had milkshakes...Butter Caramel...mmmm yummm. We sat in the car and ate but there is space to sit down and eat. Come one come all for a great experience!"
