"The food here is outstanding throughout the tasting menu (the beetroot meringue and the trout were our favourite). The personal notes from the chef was insightful and really enhanced the experience. The service is professional and attentive, but still remains warm friendly. This has been a highlight of our Lake District trip, and the restaurant definitely deserves its Michelin star."

"Incredibly good ice cream in a large range of flavours (all labelled to say if they were GF). Gluten free cones also available on request, so great for our coeliac daughter. One of the two best ice cream shops I have ever visited."

"Fantastic little restaurant and take away! If you want to dine in better book before as they have very few tables and can get quite busy during prime time. We were lucky and got a table for 2 pax. Best papadums with the most delicious condiments Onion Baji fantastic and recommend with the red sauce that comes with the papadums Lamb Byriani probably the best price value we ever had and absolutely delicious Lamb Rogan Josh could have had more kick to it but super fresh and delicious Good to know that the chilies in the menu are actually English rating and not Indian. So next time I will definitely go for the 3 chilies. Portions are huge so recommendable to come in a small group and share. Will definitely want to go again during our stay as we agree with other reviewers that this probably was the best Indian in a long time!! Well done! Also service super friendly!"

"We had read about this deli online before our visit to Ambelside so we thought we would stop off to see what we could get for lunch to take on our walks in the Lakes. We visited twice during our stay having a pie both times as the first was so tasty (it also travelled well! . The apple and almond cake was delicious too."

"This is the second time that I have changed in pedros since it has changed. I didn't come to write a review last time, but should have done it. there is a great choice of tapas to choose, it was all hot served and all...lovely the service was good (unfortunate with a big party in the back room). finished with a delicious espresso martini, a fabulous evening"

"We only popped in for tea/coffee cake. Staff very friendly helpful, as my friend was using walking aid they found us a seat for easy access, they also brought our order to us."
