My american friend wanted to have pie and mash and as we were going to the Proms I booked an early table here last night. I have to say I was most disappointed with the pie and mash dish. The pastry looked home made but was hard and thick and not light and flaky as I think it should be. There was also hardly any meat. I don't think I had one decent chunk. She also felt the same.
