After a pleasant afternoon wandering through Portobello Rd and its market, we decided to stop by this pub for a drink. In the end we decided to stay a little longer than planned, and ordered some food. The menu is great, not too long, but covering many of the pub classics. What Jack Rose doesn't like about The Castle:
Looking for a quick rest and a drink, we stopped at the Castle. The staff are rude and not friendly. We were a party of 4 and did not believe my sons ID was real and it is. Ordered a round of drinks and some water, took forever. Bathrooms were gross with no toilet paper. Skip this pub and walk on to the next. View all feedback.
Great food! We loved the relaxed but attentive staff. Felt right at home. Wife and two kids loved the food at ambience. Centrally located. Highly recommend
We had the fish&chips, and they were great! Very friendly people too! We also really liked the pub's atmosphere. We would go there again!
