"What an absolute nightmare of a time. Several of my girlfriends went for their 80/90's dance....it was a joke. From the moment we walked in and try to have someone greet us at the door. The usual bar tender Nicole wasn't working. someone horrible who we are pretty sure did not have her smart serve Melissa was the bar tender for the night. She messed up our drink orders right off the get go. (insert huge eye roll Then we wanted to ordered some food, while I was waiting my turn to place an order. The older man (Bob? comes out from the kitchen and says NO more F ing salads...seriously. I was standing there. Melissa never said a word. Not to him or anyone standing at the bar. We never did end up placing a food order as we were scared it would have been spat in or dropped on the floor. Whatever horrible experience. If it hadn't been for Steve (fantastic DJ we would have left and gone downtown Barrie to The Queens to dance. At least we would have had a better licenced serve and able to order food. If you go, think again. As I truly hope you don't have the same experience. Oh and it looks like now the restaurant is closed. Interesting, as I know the owner was now trying to sell it. But he took it off the market. Guess the constant complaints finally had to close down."

"Been here a couple times, and each time, the experience was great. Owners are friendly and the food is great. One time when I was craving a certain drink, they even made it for me even though it wasn't on the menu!"

"As usual when arriving at Chefies I was welcomed by owners Michael & Meagan. I ordered an omelette & when Meagan brought it to my table she said a treat had been added to my breakfast,two slices of banana bread which was delicious. The omelette was huge & perfectly cooked & was accompanied with home fries,toasted multi grain bread,fruit cup & coffee. If you are looking for a great place for breakfast or lunch I highly recommend Chefies."
