Big letdown for us. Forgot to take photos but we had two different cuts of steak and both were of mid quality. Cooked well but the quality of the beef was not there. The biggest miss was the baked potato. It was so dry that it was inedible. This is Idaho you have to nail that potato! I can see why Pioneer Saloon is a Sun Valley Stack. It was worth waiting for more than an hour to enjoy the steaks, sides and atmosphere of the salon. The host team was friendly, the service was mostly attentive, and the food was well portioned and wonderful. I would recommend getting there early to get your name on the list and enjoy the Pioneer Saloon on your next trip to Sun Valley!
Iconic Pioneer Saloon is known for locals and visitors. No reservations accepted so that waiting for a table is part of the experience. Always crowded, a meeting place and good food. Best shrimp I had. Beef Kabob.
Absolutely amazing meal! We ordered Halibut, Sirloin Steak. Grilled pawns (the HUGE are) and it came with salad, rice and freshly grilled vegetables. THE BLUE Cheese Dressing was incredible! It's homemade! I recommend Pioneer for dinner!
Easily the best place for dinner in Ketchum. They don't take reservations so get there early. If you want to sound like a local say you're going to the Pie-o for dinner.
