"La Trattoria was an ok experience overall. No real issues with service at all, on par with what I expected. To start, we ordered the Insalata Paesana. The tomatoes on it were very pale (unripe), the looked mealy, flavorless, and had a crunch when I bit into a slice. I'd rather the tomato be left off; it wouldn't be served if I was the chef. The salad was tasty otherwise. I ordered the gorgonzola gnocchi for my entree. I don't proclaim to be a master chef, but I know good Italian food. This wasn't it. The gnocchi were potato based, which is normally ok. Unfortunately the dough was either over mixed or had too much water in it, making the gnocchi very gummy. The sauce had good flavor but was watery. The bread and dipping oil w/ balsamic and parm cheese was good. The manager came over at the end of our meal and asked how it was. I was honest with him about my experience. He apologized and very kindly removed my gnocchi from the bill. So thank you for that, it was appreciated! Overall, I'd suggest trying La Trattoria at your own risk. Would I go back? likely not."

"I deliberated on posting a review for Cuban Coffee Queen because I wanted to like it. Unfortunately my experience was not a good one. Some friends visited Key West in early 2020 and spoke very highly of their lunch at Cuban Coffee Queen. They even brought home a bag of coffee for us to enjoy, which we did. (The two stars earned in this review. While visiting Key West for our first (and so far only time in June 2021, my wife and I sought out the location. Though the coffee was flavorful, the counter-person was unfriendly immediately and progressed quickly to rude. We ended up ordering only one medium coffee as a result and felt dejected. At the time of our order we were the only people there, with only a small family and one “to-go” order coming through before we left. Not sure when we will return to Key West, but I can tell you with certainty when we will return to Cuban Coffee Queen: never."
