"This small town restaurant has a big city menu with stellar execution. It was a charming and amazing experience we never expected to find in Custer SD. The restaurant is modern and cozy. Our server was fantastic and educated with the menu. We enjoyed 3 courses and each item we ate was delicious, cooked to perfection. Don?t sleep on the butter cake. We couldn?t have had a better time at Skogen. Highly recommend if you?re in the area."

"We stopped after leaving Custer Park. The staff was great and the place was very clean. The pizza was the great. If were a local I'd eat there all the time. Bread sticks and wings were also good. I recommend everyone in the area stop in for their pizza, wings and bread sticks."

"Our family of seven (4 generations) from Texas had dinner at the Purple Pie Place while staying at Custer visiting the Black Hills area. My daughter and I knew after seeing all the pie options that we wanted to share a sandwich and have a piece of pie. We had the Turkey Panini and it was very good. Others in our family ordered the Chicken Pot Pie, the Mac n Cheese w/Bacon, the Chili-Cheese Dog and the Chicken Salad Sandwich. Everything was very good! But the best was the homemade pies!! We had the Peanut Butter Pie, the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie and the Strawberry Rhubarb Jalapeno Pie. The Strawberry Rhubarb was DELISH!!! My daughter loved the Peanut Butter Pie!! My grandsons both had ice cream in waffle cones and said it was yummy! Everything was so good we decided we had to visit the Purple Pie Place again our last night in Custer. Again the pies were Delicious!!! The server was very friendly, the same one both nights! The restaurant itself is so cute and very clean! Would definitely recommend eating at the Purple Pie Place!!"

"My wife and I were staying in a town close by and wanted to try find a place to have a drink. We stumbled across The Custer Wolf and we couldn?t have been happier. The food was great, our waitress was super helpful and funny. We will definitely be returning next time we?re in South Dakota."
