Wow! The first time here and by far exceeded my expectations. We ordered the Calamari as an appetizer, honey Bourbon salmon with Alfredo, the steak sandwich, some cocktails and cream bubbles to dessert. Our waitress Nadine was knowledgeable on her menu, did not rush us and sweet as the dessert we had. Really a shame that I didn't make pictures of the desert, it was worth the magazine. The decor is outdated. The service was slow and forgetful. The food was good but not overly impressive for the price. The steak plate pictured and a small side salad was $38.99. The other picture was blackened chicken with fettuccine pasta and Alfredo sauce with added grilled shrimp. The chicken was not blackened. It had a Cajun rub and was grilled. read more.

"INCREDIBLE????? First time here and the wife and I will be back time and time again. DOG ? FRIENDLY. We got out of our truck and entered the patio and immediately were met by a stuff member with a water bowl and treats for our dog Apache. Then our waitress came out and made us feel like we were visiting a friend's house, not a first visit to a restaurant. My open face roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes with EXTRA gravy was to die for!"

"Wow! What a great find! Rutherford 's is clean, cute, a great value, and not too cheesy with too much Route 66 nostalgia stuff. Lucky for me the diner of my motel, the opening of 7:00, decided to open 8:00 and I was hungry! Classic American Diner, Breakfast Lunch, Dinner and really good food! Not good restaurant, but the best food. You have a selection of Mexican breakfasts, skillful breakfasts, Omelettes, Pancakes, etc. The complete lunch and dinner menu will also have to come back the next day. Had the Santa Fe Skillet (excellent value at $8,95), over medium eggs were perfect, much of everything. Also got a side of sausage really nice, not your typical cheapo sausage links, but plump, thick sausages with a skin that snapped and great taste. Marina was awesome running the front SOLO, welcome people coming to the door, cleaning tables, chatting the locals to supply food... she was annoying... And pleasant... And attentive... I don't know how she does, but she was the bomb. We'll be back. What a jewel on Route 66."

"I don?t know about you all, but I?m tired of the big box restaurant corporations. I want to support the smaller, mom and pop businesses which is what America was founded on. This place is a hidden gem in the desert. It?s right at the airfield with a view of the landing strip. Very cute, clean with amazing service and food. They have nostalgic memorabilia all over the wall as well as nostalgic music from the 50s and 60s. It?s worth stopping here! Don?t miss it."
