"First time visiting since new management. Early supper for NYE. Very friendly service only criticism would be service was too quick but didn't spoil the evening . Starters were tasty if a little small . Superb roast pork and beef for main course."

"Finally made it to the Dabbling Duck today, tempted by Norfolk Restaurant Week. 1hr+ journey. Food and service was excellent. Loved the smoked haddock and mussel bisque. Very picturesque pub, inside and out, but our visit was marred by the awful, thumping music. Couldn't really hear the music apart from the heavy bass beat. Felt like there was a piledriver going in a building site next door! Asked waitress if they could turn it off or change it but just got a different version. Somebody has a speaker set up with way too much bass and completely inappropriate for the setting. We both left with headaches. Such a shame as all the food was great"

"I do often write reviews, however in this case I must. Visited over evenings. The bar person was not welcoming. Ordering beer was fine but trying to order food at the same time was a bit of a struggle. From one till to another....It is a warm place. Everyone was very friendly. Dogs welcome First evening.....fish and chips with a grimace Second evening I thought I would try seafood chowder with a side of chips. Mr grimace had to check if they had any left. Arrived swiftly. Looked good Chips were OK. Nothing special. Bread was OK. However....seafood chowder with no seafood is somewhat disappointing. Potato and bacon does not constitute seafood in my opinion. Don't eat there is my very best advice"
