"We enjoyed the atmosphere, despite not being young! We sat in the pods out the back; they were comfortable and kept out the rain. Leanne and Courtney were extremely pleasant and helpful. The music was fine, and we liked that the café/restaurant was distinctive. Good tea and coffee, we'd happily visit again."

"I had dinner here last night with two friends and we were all so impressed!!!! The meal was fantastic; I had the ribeye and it was absolutely delicious and my friend had the most enormous, tasty homemade steak and ale pie. We were blown away by the portion sizes and overall quality of the food. A wonderful, relaxed and cosy setting with plenty of atmosphere. This was our first visit to The Heron but we will be back whenever we visit friends in the area. It is very clear to see how passionate Tracey is about her business; we had such amazingly friendly, attentive service. I wouldn't hesitate to return and next time I would definitely consider staying over in the B&B accommodation. If you are looking for a lovely local or a beautiful stop off on your trip, I couldn't recommend this place enough! You're doing a great job, Tracey, wishing you every success "
