"We went at 8:30 on a Friday night, getting seated just before the rain came pouring down. But we got soaked with this meal. The food was not fresh and was overcooked. If curry original means it was originally made when the restaurant opened I guess the name is not false advertising. The first clue should have been the papadums which were flaky, not crisp and snappy. We ordered beef vindaloo and dahl, which we have had many times before at good Indian restaurants so we know how it should taste. The beef vindaloo is listed as spicy but the heat was overwhelming to the point you couldn't taste the spices in the dish. When we asked for yogurt to tame the heat, the waiter said vindaloo is hot. Yes we know it is and we like our curry dishes hot but this was way over the top. The dahl was so overcooked it was pretty much a pasty mush. You couldn't even tell it was made with lentils as they had turned into soup. And it lacked any taste. The rice was no better, it was clumpy and basically stuck to the serving bowl. The service was equal to the food, no care or attention. We were never asked once how the food was or if we wanted anything else. With so many good restaurants in Kingston, I am very disappointed we ended up choosing this one when the rains started. My advice? Rain or shine, avoid this place!"

"We absolutely loved eating at this BeaverTails location. I must say we had very low expectations considering it's a chain but I'm glad we decided to stop by. The staff was amazing and gave us great suggestions about what to order.We ended up having the Bananarama beavertail (nutella banana) since it seemed to be their most popular option. It was crunchy outside and soft on the inside and the toppings matched really well together. We also ordered the poutine and I must say it's one of the best poutines I've ever had. We shared a Beaverdog and we were surprised by how good it tasted. Just keep in mind that they only have ketchup and mustard as toppings for it, but it didn't need more than that in my opinion.Looking forward to coming back!"

"Recently ordered take out from this family run Chinese restaurant. Food was ready in a short amount of time and portions sizes were amazing. Everything ordered was extremely flavorful. Prices were really good too. Normally when ordering from other restaurants they would skimp on the shrimp. Well not here, everything is well portioned whether it's the chicken or shrimp. Oh and it's authentic and spicy when it needs it to be. Ordered the squid in spicy salt, shrimp in lobster sauce and the kung po. I would definitely order again!"
